Bloop Groop is an evening for electronic musicians producers of all levels – from the mildly curious to old pros – to hang out, set up kit, and make music. Format is come along, set up, hang out, gear chats, dossing, jams, then the last hour a few of the finest electronic musicians play short sets of original music.
There’ll be a mixing desk monitors, so we can play loud.
There will also be projectors and talented visual artists making complementary visuals to accompany the music!
We coordinate the event on the Whatsapp group beforehand, so please join if you want to bring kit or play a set!
No gear, no problem! Come along, chat, look at the kit, hear tunes!
Last 90 – 120 mins mins is made up of short sets, so if you want to come along just to hear music come like 7.30pm / 8pm!
We’re about connecting, having fun, learning, trying stuff out, and enjoying short performances from newcomers , those returning to performing. It’s a low-stress, playful, inclusive, warm environment.
Bloop Groop #18 takes place in Bay 1, The Digital Hub, Dublin City, Saturday 20th June and is brought to you by Caroline Swords and Gary Byrne.

Computers, digital boxes, DJ controllers, drum machines, gadgets, groove boxes, keyboard synths, loop stations, modular synths, phone apps, samplers, sequencers… and everything in between. All welcome!
Come out and meet other music makers, producers and creative types from all walks of music making. There should be plenty of time to talk gear, production techniques and a whole range of inspiring ideas.
Take to The Ferret stage with full live-music PA & sound engineer. We will have a table for you to setup on, and another one to the side, for the next performer to prep their gear. In order for the event to run smoothly, we ask that you prepare a mono or stereo mix of your setup before handing your outputs over to us; we will not be able to mix your outputs for you in the given time. Vocal mics & mic stands available.

Taking place on the first Wednesday of every month this is an open stage night for London based electronic and experimental musicians. This night is aimed at giving local artists a supportive space in which to play live and experiment, and socialise with like minded people.

Seeking all forms of electronic/experimental music including: ambient, soundtrack, dance, techno, noise, electropop, drone, glitch, experimental hip-hop, field recordings, electrojazz, chiptune, looping, synthwave, trance, live coding, sound design, etc.

The focus is on London and area based artists.

Get out of your home studio or bedroom, and come out to a fun, supportive night with other enthusiastic tech heads, dabblers and music fans. EMOM (Electronic Music Open Mic) är en gräsrotsrörelse som startades i England 2017 av Martine Christie.
Konceptet är enkelt: att skapa en plattform med låg tröskel för elektroniska musiker att uppträda på. Eventen är öppna för alla, oavsett stil på den elektroniska musiken som framförs – må det så vara Ambient/Jungle/experimentellt/Synth. Fokuset är på nykomlingarna på scenen.

Kvällen den 19e September presenterar vi ett antal artister under kvällen, varje akt får upp till 15 minuters speltid följt av en kortare paus för presentation av kommande artist. (Eventet livesänds via YouTube för en internationell publik)

I anmälan, bifoga en kort bio samt representativa musikexempel i den stil som skall framföras. Vi behöver även en rider, dvs vilken utrustning du behöver för att kunna framföra din musik. Exemplen används för att vi ska kunna planera en sammanhängande musikberättelse under kvällen. Vi gör inga artistiska urval eller bedömningar, alla är välkomna att spela i mån av tid och plats. Vi påminner om att detta gäller musik där det elektroniska står för huvuduttrycket.

Det slutgiltiga artistprogrammet presenteras Söndag den 13e September, följ för uppdateringar.
På grund av alkoholförsäljning gäller 18-årsgräns under eventet, under 18 kräver i målsmans sällskap. Entrén är fri och helt gratis för samtliga besökare, dock så uppskattar vi självklart frivilliga donationer för att täcka omkostnader.
