  Hello Brighton Knobtwiddlers!
Posted by: LEEEEK - 11-11-2022, 12:20 PM - Forum: Brighton EMOM - Brighton - No Replies

Hi to anyone out there from the South.

I would be very keen to hear how the latest Brighton event went.
I see I have just missed one in October - but would like to express an interest in the next event.
Is there a date yet?

I'm currently making a variety of sounds/music using VCV rack and a couple of tiny Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators.

I feel the need to share .....Let's talk.

Post below, contact nythyhel@googlemail.com or Linus Fitness-centre on Facebook for a slot. Slots are up to 15 minutes (including set up, play and pack down times), times may be reduced to get as many artists as we can. Slots are allocated on a first come first served basis.

In order to give you as much play time as possible we'll run two performance areas at opposite sides of the stage. As one artist plays, the other has time to setup and get ready.

Sorry - no acoustic guitars – unless they are being used to generate soundscapes or some other style of music in keeping with the night. This is an acoustic free zone.

Homebrew Electronica Show - The Official EMOM podcast.
Posted by: Loopingstar - 01-07-2022, 11:21 AM - Forum: Radio shows and podcasts. - No Replies

Seems like a good place to remind folks about the Homebrew Electronica Show - The Official EMOM podcast . You can currently listen at homebrewelec.buzzsprout.com and also find the show on Spotify & Apple podcasts. New episodes every third Friday, playing as wide a range of electronic music as you’d find at an EMOM itself ! The next episode (the 50th ! ) is on July 15th , then the show will be taking it’s Summer break, returning in September. Anyone is welcome to submit a tune for the show via email at homebrewelec@outlook.com , although I’d leave it until the last week of August before submitting anything now.

  A little introduction from me.
Posted by: Handbag Punk - 30-06-2022, 02:35 PM - Forum: General Chat - Replies (1)

Jamie Jamal is a Bristol-based electronic handbag punk/Singer. As well as releasing his own solo material, Jamie is one half of electronic duo Flux [@fluxmusicuk] and electronic pick n mix outfit This Human Condition [@ConditionThis]. Jamie has performed at the Glastonbury Festival and been played on BBC6 Music. He has also collaborated with artists such as Future Self, Cynthia’s Periscope and Muzoid. Fun fact: Jamie appeared in a Boy George video!

Jamie is also involved in the underground electronic music scene, putting on showcases at Rough Trade Bristol; as well performing at the touring Electronic Music Open Mic nights (EMOM) across the UK, from Nottingham to Manchester, and London. Ever active on the grassroots online music scene, Jamie is quick to offer support and encouragement to his fellow music-makers.
